American Society of Civil Engineers - Omaha Chapter
I am an active member of ASCE at UNO. I care a lot about this organization and have taken leadership roles since I was a freshmen to develop our chapter and expose other students to civil engineering.
Freshman year I served as treasurer. I handled finances, receipts, reimbursements, and tracked purchases. Finances are a very important thing for college organizations. We have to pay dues, distribute t-shirts and collect payments, purchase supplies, and keep detailed records.
Sophomore year I wanted to take a greater leadership role. I ran for and won the vice president position. This year I will assist the president with running meeting, finding speakers, and making critical decisions for the organization. Something that I am passionate about that I lead as VP is our mentorship program. We pair upperclassmen with less experienced students for personal and professional development. I have had great experience with mentors in high school, college, and internships so I am excited to continue this great practice.

ASCE - Concrete Canoe
I am an active member and leader involved in the National Concrete Canoe competition. I collaborate with the team to develop the design and theme of the canoe. I also attend scheduled practices for rowing and team development.
In 2021, we will be focusing on lab logistics with COVID restrictions and new mix designs. |
Chi Epsilon
Chi Epsilon was founded in 1922 to honor and recognize civil engineering students. I was inducted into Chi Epsilon in the fall semester of 2020. I was selected from my scholarship, character, practicality, and sociability characteristics. As a member of Chi Epsilon, I am in the top third of my class and will be considered a top graduate.
As a member of this prestigious society, I will lead my peers with the three letters of Chi Epsilon's motto: conception, design, and construction. I want to lead others to be inventive and aim for accomplishment with conception. I will encourage design through education and practical experience. I will encourage fellow engineers in construction to have determination and make their ideas a reality.
